Our broader families all converged for a relaxing and peaceful weekend renting 4 units. The facilities felt new and fresh and were also convenient with a full kitchen. We made some phenomenal meals, local hiking was perfect, and we also enjoyed the grounds including the perfect fire-pit for roasting marshmallows! Beautiful location and beautiful facility!

Nice pet friendly condo. Community pool should be removed from list of amenities as there are signs that state condo renters not allowed to use pool.

We enjoyed the remote location of the condo, trail nearby for walking our dog, and visiting fall creek falls.

Absolutely perfect. Sixteen of us met from all corners of the USA for a well needed escape from the world's problems. Accommodations were clean and up to date.

From beginning to end, the entire experience was effortless. Lisa took such good care of us during the booking and rental process -seamless! Additionally, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Roomy, very clean, tons of windows, overlooked the lake which provided outstanding vistas -especially at sunset. It was nice to visit the park during the day, then get away from the crowds and enjoy the evening serenade of the crickets and frogs. Pet-friendly, multiple campfire spots and grills available on the well-maintained property. I can't gush enough about this fabulous place. We have decided to make it an annual destination.

The condo was very modern and clean. Great places for fishing, made s'mores one night, nice trails. Close to Fall Creek Falls. My eight-year-old daughter loved the stay and wants to go back soon. Very peaceful and beautiful property.

Very nice condo close to great hiking. Very secluded - nearest food 30+ minutes away, but that is exactly what we were looking for. There is a bonfire pit where we made s'mores. Beautiful views of the woods and lake. Dog friendly which was awesome. Our dog loved it! Owner was very receptive and friendly. There is no washer or dryer which you might expect in a condo. The kitchen was fully stocked though some of the cups were dirty.

Everything was good except the bedspread had a stain on it and had not been washed. Besides that everything was good

This was one of the best hosts that I have ever worked with. Everything was perfect from the outdoor fire pits set up with wood to the view from the balcony.

Highland Rim retreat sounds great on paper... However it's a single Condo building in the middle of a development that went bankrupt. The roads are all gravel don't bring a good car. The General Store is not open. The trails are not well marked for hiking if it all. There is no boating on the lake and less you brought your own canoe. Condo building has an open type entrance vestibule and it's covered in bird feces. It's a shame the inside is delightful the view is beautiful. But it's a bit of a place where time Stood Still In development never completed

We stayed in 721, which was pet friendly, so our dog got to come, too. We had a great stay. The condo was just as advertised and super clean. We couldn't get the ceiling fans to work correctly, but all else was good to go. Very comfy beds. The area is absolutely gorgeous. Caught some fish and enjoyed kayaking around the lakes and creeks. Weather was nuts a few days so we got stuck inside due to storms a few of our days, but overall had a great time. Lisa & Cliff were great in staying in touch and making sure we had all we needed.

We stayed over Memorial day weekend. The condo was up to date, nice furnishings and very clean. The property was beautiful. Nice place to unplug and get away for the weekend. We were very pleased with everything and will definitely go back. Our son was disappointed because the pool was broken, but other than that it was a great place to say!

Our experience was amazing from start to finish. My lady and I have stayed here several times now and have enjoyed every experience. The natural surroundings are serene, the accommodations clean and well appointed, and the owners a joy to deal with. I'm already planning a return trip and will definitely plan to use this place again. Thanks so much and Happy 2016!

Honeymoon Stay: The amount of time we spent trying to figure out/fix problems (on our Honeymoon) was excessive. Door wouldn't open with code, no cell service or property phone to call for assistance, luckily neighbors knew the generic code (worried us that everyone staying there had same code- safety issue). Couldn't find switch for fireplace, Jared didn't know what to tell us, couldn't get volume on either remote to work. FINALLY turned gray one off and back on. That worked. Nice ammenities that are advertised but no map or info on how to get to/use signage directing to amenities when leaving condo. No sound system in condo, owner had one brought to us but spent an hour trying to get it going. No luck. Internet didn't work one night, no hot water for some guests one night, No landline phone in condo 9 what if there was a medical emergency? Cell phones don't work) Called 5 0r 6 times in weeks prior to arrival. Noone ever answered. Got a call/text back hours or days later. Once was when we drove up prior to wedding to see amenities but couldn't get on property to check them out. One night, our visiting guests couldn't get back out of the gate. Had to come all the way back to condo in the rain(cell phones wouldn't work so they could just call, not drive back). They had to climb over gate in the rain and put the entrance code in and other person drove car thru. Better signage, info about amenities locations and a dry area for wood and chair storage would be nice. We would have started a fire when it wasn't raining but all wood was soaked.) Owner is VERY nice but that didn't get back all the time and frustration we expended figuring out problems. Especially on our Honeymoon.

Had a great time at this resort. We went with two of our friends and booked the two bedroom condo. There were new appliances and a great sound system. Each of us brought our kayaks and enjoyed paddling in each of the lakes on the property. Also if you enjoy horses visit the equestrian center. This is a great place especially if your looking for peace and quiet.<br/>

Three of us stayed here St Patricks' Day weekend. The Condo is new and immaculate. all the furniture, kitchen appliances are new and clean. The deck overlooks an emerald green lake, there is a gas fireplace in the living room with comfortable leather furniture, Pandora radio available. We were the only people in the Condo complex - it was almost to quiet and private. Next year we will go later in the year because the trees and wildflowers were still dormant. We hiked in Fall Creek Falls and enjoyed it. I recommend bringing all your groceries, drinks, and supplies as there is no store close by. Bring extra towels as there is no W/D in the Condo.

It rained the entire weekend we were there, however we could not have gone some place else that I would have enjoyed anymore even if it wasn't raining!! Quiet, peaceful, clean...The covered porch has a great view and completely sheltered us from the rain. Loved it. The area is beautiful. We didn't eat at the general store/restaurant but the lady running it made us want to eat there. Make sure you pack everything you may need because there truly is not much around other then the general store on property. The pool looked inviting but we didn't get a chance to try it out but says it is even heated in the colder months. Quick drive to Fall Creek Falls!

Our stay at Trout Lake Condo #721 was very enjoyable. The Condo itself was nicely furnished and the kitchen appliances were very nice. It afforded our family of four a nice getaway - it was secluded yet it had wi-fi and TV (which we did not even use). It was a great area to just go for long walks and explore. I'm sure there was great fishing, but we did not attempt. It is very close to Fall Creek Falls State Park which we did visit and did a couple of short hikes there.

This condo is spacious with nice decor and beautiful views. We enjoyed the pool and sports complex, fishing, hiking and visiting the Gypsy Vanner horses. Unit has 2 Q beds, 2 1/2 bath. Lots of room and a beautiful kitchen. NO W/D in unit. Located near Fall Creek Falls but there is plenty to do on property. Quiet setting, lots of nature!

This 2bd, 2 1/2 ba condo is very clean, modern and spacious. The balcony is large and has views of a lake and woods. Perfect for a romantic getaway or big enough to bring the whole family. The pool, sportsplex, picnic area & lake are about a mile or 2 away. There is a small store that also has a restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Hiking trails, horseback riding and fishing are all on the property or travel about 10 minutes to Fall Creek Falls State Park. We had a great time and will go back again. Very peaceful and restful!
