This home is spacious and wonderful for a large group. We loved that there were not only beds for everyone, but tons of space in the living room and dining room. While in a community, homes were very spaced out and the lots are wooded, so you had privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there!

This was the best property we have ever used for our annual family gatherings. The family has grown enough that some had to stay at a motel (I think was in Sparta),but evening meals and a gathering place for trips to Fall Creek Falls worked out just great. The facility is very large, allowing for plenty of room for gathering, both inside and outside. Very clean, tidy and well appointed with all upscale appliances and kitchen ware. Thank you for a great experience. P.S., the activity center (tennis, basketball, swimming, etc.)is well within walking distance and well kept.

Everything was better than we excepted, the house was great, the area was Quiet and peaceful. Our Grandkids especially enjoyed the community pool and the fishing from the pier.<br/>we all enjoyed sitting on the back deck and enjoying the peace and quiet.<br/>We were there for the 4th of July weekend, The community fireworks display was very good for such a small community, thank you for that, the Grandkids loved it!

What a beautiful retreat surrounded by woods on all sides! Natural light & views of nature fill every room in this home. Spacious & even larger than pics show, we had plenty of room for 3 adults & 4 kids & our family pets too. The bonus spaces upstairs & down were a pleasant surprise upon arrival. There is a king & a queen bed in the bonus space upstairs with plenty of room to spread out. Also my youngest loved the extra bunk/play space in one of the upstairs bedrooms. The kitchen is sufficient but lacking in cookware enough for a large family such as ours. Bring your own large pots if you are bringing a crowd. We loved the surround sound speaker system to play music throughout that downstairs living spaces & out on the deck too. The community pool was the perfect way to cool off after long hikes in the state park. We never saw the general store actually open. Plan your meals & get your groceries on the way to the cabin as the nearest grocery stores are 30+ minutes away. There is a Dollar General about 5 miles from the park entrance for last minute things. Our family has enjoyed many trips to the area and the Preserve is by far the nicest & most spacious rental we have found. It&#x2019;s about a 20 min drive from the nature center at the park & all the beauty the park has to offer. It was the perfect place for a wonderful family trip!

We recently met here at the Preserve for a couple of days of shooting at Dead Zero Shooting Park. While the location was a little farther from the shooting park that we realized, the accommodations was well worth the drive. The property management team is great to work with. We intend to go back again next year.

Dead bugs on floor. The entry was dangerous because of rotten boards on deck. Ad showed a pool. The community pool was locked with a sign that said closed for the winter. It&#x2019;s July. Lights in the dining room were not operational. Called and was told they knew about the problem but did not offer to fix it. Had to dine as a family in almost dark conditions. Very disappointed.

This place was perfect for our family getaway. The joy heard throughout the house as the children explored and played was priceless. Surround sound was a nice touch. We loved the location it was a short drive to Fall Creek Falls. Since only starter amount of TP and paper towels, I'd recommend bringing some of that. If you plan on doing laundry, don't forget the detergent, and you'll need charcoal for the grill. Absolutely perfect weekend.

Overall, we had a good time. The area seemed to be vacated overall...the general store was only open for a few hours a couple of days per week...the house had a bunch of mousetraps everywhere and lots of mouse droppings. The important things were cleaned (kitchen, bathrooms, linens) but the home still felt like nobody had been there for a while (dead bugs on the carpets, needed to be vacuumed). The confirmation paperwork had lots of contradicting information but I always got quick responses when I texted for clarification, which was nice. The lighting was horrible, the furniture was very worn. I probably wouldn&#x2019;t rent again, but my family and I had a good time together.

There were 4 adults and 2 children (3 and 1) in our party. There was enough room for twice that many! Great decks to relax on. Beds very comfortable. Bedrooms very roomy. I would have liked to have had a chair and or a dresser to large bedroom upstairs, but I like to unpack when I&#x2019;m on vacation. Lovely basement downstairs, but no furniture and I&#x2019;m too old to sit on floor lol. We blocked it off so baby wouldn&#x2019;t tumble down the stairs<br/>This property was very isolated from any stores or restaurants, so be warned. Also it is located on a looonng gravel road, so don&#x2019;t bother washing your car before you get there haha.<br/>We went to the lake at night and star gazed. No moon, no clouds, no city lights, absolutely breath taking. Lisa was so helpful with any questions we had or help we needed.

Great time checking out Long Branch Lakes. The rental was perfect for as a new landowner at LBL to check out the amenities and enjoy some time on the water fishing. The house rental was clean and very comfortable. Very quiet and great place to relax and slow your pace.

We did a family and friends vacation at the Preserve with Highland Rim Retreats in June. There was 10 of us and the house accommodated every one. Not everyone did the same activities while there. Some fished swam and played basketball. We did a camp fire and make smores the kids loved it especially the ones who had never done it before. We played a card game (family time) Or sometimes just sat on the porch relaxing, talking or reading a book. Basically listening to the sound of nature. Some seen deer and a turkey. Recommend renting the house absolutely Would do it again in a heartbeat. Those are the type of memories that you can t make every day. Family and friends are precious don t take them for granted. Thanks for letting us borrow the house It was a great time

The house was beautiful and had the perfect cozy retreat feel. The environment really felt like a get away and immersed us in nature. My kids loved the falls that were so close by, and was a beautiful trail for all you hikers out there.

We had a very nice stay at the Preserve. The accommodations were very comfortable. The grounds around the house were a bit unkempt and there were ticks galore so be careful sitting by the fire pit.<br/>Patio chairs would have been a nice touch. but over all the house was fine.

The owners were wonderful to work with. The cabin is very nice and in a great community. There are two beautiful Lakes, fishing, basketball, baseball, tennis, and pools and a general store (these last two were not open due to Covid but would be great once opened.). Also playground for kids. The community is nice and quiet and was a great place to relax. It is a 10-15 minute drive to Fall Creek Falls main nature center so very easy access. We enjoyed our stay.

Lots of potential but needs some TLC and a deep cleaning. Glasses and dishes had to be washed before using (filthy). Cob webs and dust, dead bugs in corners and generally needs a good cleaning with lots of light. Furniture is very worn and showing it&#x2019;s age and lack of maintenance. No instructions on how to use television or streaming services required to watch TV. Internet out an entire evening. Door code did not work on arrival and 4 call backs required on a cold snowy night, after midnight, to get a someone to answer the phone.

We loved the location of the property and the home was in beautiful condition and was quite spacious. We would have appreciated knowing ahead of time what the wi-fi was (we had to look through drawers for a piece of paper that had the code). Also there were bugs on the floor-floor needed to be swept. Other than those matters, wonderful time!

This house was amazing. Plenty of room and in a great location. In the morning you could look out the front windows and see deer walking across the field. We went horseback riding even though it's not on the property, it was still an amazing opportunity and we did it as a family which made it special. The falls are right down the road and they are some of the prettiest views you've ever seen.

We love escaping to Highland Rim retreats for our family vacation! It's so peaceful, away from the world and really lets you connect. We love the fishing & kayaking on the lakes at Highland Rim. The Preserve is just right for our family of 10 to comfortably relax and have room to move.

How fortunate we were to find a gorgeous, private getaway where our family could celebrate together this summer! We live in Georgia and my parents live in Kentucky. Fall Creek Falls was a great place to connect, recharge and simply enjoy being together! We made special memories fishing and kayaking at the lake and some of our more competitive family members challenged each other on the basketball and tennis courts. The Preserve well exceeded our high standards for vacation rentals and we would totally recommend it to anyone wanting a place to get away for a couple of days.

RELAXING AND PEACEFUL RETREAT! Bring everything you will need and gas up the car this getaway it is miles from the nearest grocery and gas. The house was beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch listening to the sound system and enjoying nature. We saw lots of deer and hear lots of other night creatures. The management was prompt and helpful. The downfall was the pool was closed but we rented a kayak and floated on the lake. A great place to de-stress.

We rented this house for a girls' weekend trip and it was perfect! It was better in person than the pictures showed; the house was a great size for 10 people and looked very clean and new. The management team was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions I had about the house. I definitely recommend staying here!

This home was everything it was advertised! Lots of space, well furnished, great layout, clean, and well maintained. The appliances, facilities / amenities were all new and good quality with added touches like the Sonos sound system and accent lighting. The setting is functional, plenty of parking, wooded lot, a nice supply of firewood, and a big outdoor fire pit. The roads are rough and The Preserve is a few miles into the development. There are only a few other houses in the huge complex but the property is well maintained and the main road has streetlights that fit the setting. A short walk to an amazing area where unfortunately nothing is happening...a general store that's closed, giant lake with no boats to rent, an empty pool, abandoned pavilion, horseshoe pits - no shoes - b-ball and tennis available if you bring your own equipment...pretty deserted. Overall we loved it though, just 15 minutes from Falls Creek Falls. Someday this entire place will be incredible...right now it's just the house that fits that description.

We had a very pleasant experience during our stay. The only disappointing aspect of our time at The Preserve was when we visited the common area around the lake, the swimming pool is not being maintained and while using the playground equipment, my 3 year old son, was bitten by a wasp that had nested inside the tire swing.

We took our whole soccer team to Highland Rim Retreats in April 2016 - 25 people total. We rented The Preserve as well as 4 condominiums. Our stay was great. The accommodations are very nice and clean, and it was the perfect getaway for our team, which we used as a bonding experience. Most of our cell phones did not have service, which was perfect too in order to get away from social media and other distractions. However, the internet is also spotty which made it difficult for some of our kids to get their homework done. We used Highland Retreats as our home base and spent time at Fall Creek Falls about 15 minutes away. Overall, a great trip in a great location.

Our group rented The Preserve and 3 of the Trout Hill Condos for 2 nights. Positives: All the condos and the house were very clean. The furniture in all of them was nice, big and comfortable. Plenty of dishes for our large group (8) The woodsy setting for The Preserve was beautiful. The management company was very accommodating in our check in. Here are the not so great things: 1) There is nothing, truly nothing, within a 30 minute or more drive so bring what you need 2) The road is very rough, it needs paving badly. 3) The condos are NOT walking distance from The Preserve-you need a car. 4) The General Store-is not. The food there was ok, however the people running it had just purchased it and it was their first day-so allowances made for that, 5) There is no pool, only a cemented hold in the ground with tadpoles, 6) There is no horseback riding unless you live there-they don't have insurance for guests to ride. The hiking trails -we didn't try --looked a little lonely to us, 7) Internet and cell phone service in the condos was non existent and only sporadic at The Preserve and they have no landlines that we could see. Having no way to contact anyone at night was not smart and 8) There was no air conditioning in one of the condos most of the stay. I must iterate that this is in a very undeveloped area. Don't expect to be in contact with the rest of the world during your stay. We enjoyed our stay overall as we accomplished our retreat time. If they could get some investors who are willing to make this in to an actual retreat, it could be absolutely beautiful. Today, it is certainly not a thriving retreat.

We arrived to a beautiful cabin that had everything we needed. It was surrounded by God's beauty and we were happy to just walk down the road and enjoy breakfast and lunch at the general store. The food was amazing!!! We had a wonderful week in the cabin. Not far from Fall Creek Falls and it was nice to go hike then come back and relax in a spacious cabin! I highly recommend staying here!!!

This house is wonderful with wonderful surprises around every turn. They had even added another queen bed in the bonus room. We especially enjoyed the porch, the kitchen and all the space. We thought there was going to be a gas grill outside but instead found a charcoal one. They had no sponges to use wiping counters and washing dishes but this was a minor inconvenience. Our biggest disappointment was that the pool was closed- something we had not expected in June. A home owner told us that Long Branch Lakes property was in bankruptcy, so management didn't want to open pool until there were new owners. We were glad we got our supplies the first night because this property is quite a distance from any stores, restaurants, etc. We also got a bit lost because GPS on our phones would not get good reception. All in all, it was a wonderful weekend. Just wish we had known about the pool ahead of time.

The Preserve is an exceptional, beautiful place to stay. We found everything just as described. Space was ample for the six family members who spent Christmas there. We would have enjoyed a larger TV in the living area, a good can opener, and a little better quality cookware. However, those are minor things, and the good far, far outweighed those inconveniences. We would highly recommend the Preserve to others and would love to go back for another stay.

The Preserve provided a perfect location for a family weekend. The location was ideal. We were close to home, but once you are inside Long Branch Lakes, you feel like you are a million miles away. The entire resort property was absolutely beautiful. The house itself was even nicer than we imagined. It was beautifully built, very spacious, furnished perfectly, and had nice amenities like tons of fluffy towels, a well equipped kitchen, wood for the fireplace, and nice bedding. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway in middle Tennessee.

My family and I get together for a family vacation every summer and The Preserve was ideal for us. With 4 adults and 3 teenagers, it takes a lot of space to satisfy our needs. The Preserve had sleeping space for all of us. The kitchen was ideal and we loved eating in the dining room. The pool and lake were great - boats with no rental and a beautiful pool feed by a waterfall. We enjoyed our time at The Preserve and would go back. We were well taken care of by the management company.
