HORRIBLE!!! Do not book this property! It is a rip-off! The place is deserted with no cell phone connection, nor GPS. Once we arrived at the location we put in a code and went through an electrical gate to get to the property. The gate entrance was one way in and no way out! We drove down a gravel road to no where. We called the emergency contact number listed on our reservation for help and support.<br/> No one answered, nor returned our call until one hour later. We never reach Trout Hill Condo. It was a haunting experience. We left to return home. The owner called while we were half way home and said he was at a wedding and could not talk, and refused to give us a refund. He said he had to go to call back Monday. We lost $700 on a Condo that we never found, nor stayed in. This was a very hurtful experience for my family. We did not get to visit Falls Creek Falls which clossed at 5:00.

My family had a reunion at Fall Creek Falls State Park and needed a place close by. This condo had all the amenities and was very well located. We enjoyed sitting outside and looking at the lake and listening to the frogs. The owners were very accommodating and sensitive to our needs. My brother is handicapped and uses a walker and his bathroom was very easy for him to use.

TOTALLY GOUGED ME WHEN WE WERE ESCAPING FROM HURRICANE IRMA. THE SUPPOSED "OWNERS" LIED TO ME ABOUT WHERE I MADE MY RESERVATIONS. SAID I DIDNT' TELL THEM ABOUT MY DOGS ! i DID ! CHARGED ME $100 PER PET, 2 CLEANING FEES, AND THEN WE STILL HAD TO CLEAN CONDO OURSELVES. LEFT IT SPOTLESS, PROBABLY WONT GET MY DEPOSIT BACK. MANAGER CLIFF VERY RUDE TO ME WHEN THE POLICE HAD TO BE CALLED FOR A SERIOUS FAMILY MATTER. SAID TO ME DONT ACT LIKE THE "JERRY SPRINGER" SHOW ! . WOULDNT LEAVE WHEN POLICE ARRIVED , SO I COULD SPEAK TO THEM PRIVATELY. I THINK MY RIGHTS AS A CITIZEN TO PRIVACY MIGHT HAVE BEEN VIOLATED. THE LOCATION TO THIS PLACE WAS SO SO SO SO S0 REMOTE, TRAVELLING TO THIS LOCATION WAS VERY STRESSFUL. SUPPOSEDLY THEY HAVE A LITTLE GENERAL STORE ON PROPERTY, WHICH IS HUGE, NO DIRECTIONS, TO STORE, NEVER DID FIND IT. NO SHAMPOO FREEBIE OR SOAP half roll of toilet paper , no paper towel . took a genius to figure out just to figure out how to turn on tv , stove also gas , very complicated,. entire place was just AWFUL. would never ever RECOMMEND <br/>

We really enjoyed our stay, it was a very tranquil place especially since we had the place to ourselves. My Son and I enjoyed the kayaks as well as being able to build an evening fire out back.

The condo was great, even better than the pictures. However, we were not too happy with the Highland Rim Retreat web overview compared to the reality. The horseback riding is for individuals who keep horses at the equestrian center; the heated swimming pool does not appear to have been in use for a very long time; and the general store was closed. The pool and horseback riding were the primary reasons we booked for three nights. The condo is easily 30 minutes from a grocery store, via winding, rural roads, so come prepared. We did enjoy the kayaks available for use in the small pond in front of the condos. I recommend this condo if you know what to expect.

Overall, we had a comfortable and pleasant stay at this location. Wonderful location, very scenic and clean condo. Suggestion:<br/>1. Stop the Kitchen sink Odor.<br/>2. There was no body soap for us and ended up using soft soap until we bought soap from the local store.<br/>3. The short road from bridge to condo to be fixed- damage tyres and difficult to bike for kids with hard rocks on the road.<br/>4. Property manager never returned a courtesy call for my voice mail. We had some question on entrance and internet.<br/>Drs.Dhar

Very nicely appointed condo, comfortable furnishings, and great "cabin feel." It rained much of the time we were in Fall Creek Falls, and it was nice to stay in such a cozy place and play board games with the kiddos. We had a little trouble with the combo lock on the door upon our arrival, but the owners were quick to solve our issue. Would recommend for anyone looking to visit the area who prefers a nicer place to stay than what you'd find inside the park.

This year I promised myself a nice getaway for my birthday! I struggled with where to go until I came across the condos at Highland Rim Retreats! I absolutely fell in love with this unit when I arrived! I'm a nature nut and the surroundings were beautiful! Absolutely loved the rustic look of the condo, and the modern interior. The locals were very friendly and accommodating and the food at the General Store restaurant was off the chain! I will definitely be back!

This condo was new and well maintained. The split floor plan with open living room and kitchen and bedrooms on either side offer plenty of privacy to two couples or parents and kids. The complex was full when we were there and we only heard other people when they were in the stairwell. Inside, it was very quiet. We enjoyed the dining room/sunroom with its elevated table and big windows with a view of the eerily brightly colored water below. <br/>I did wish there was a dvd player for watching movies as the internet and cable connections were spotty. Cell phone service is also difficult and made it hard to reach management when our door code didn't work. <br/>But at the general store we found help and a good meal from the manager's son. <br/>The condo and its owners are very friendly and helpful. <br/>The condo is ten minutes from Fall Creek Falls.<br/>The only negative for this stay was the development itself. The original owner went bankrupt so maintenance issued have been deferred. We found the main gate chained shut when we arrived because it was not working. The roads are pitted with holes which was very rough on the car. But the worst of it was the beautiful swimming pool which sits neglected and full of tadpoles. Hopefully, new management will be in there soon to put everything back on course.

We have stayed here twice. The second time, the property was transitioning in management which made the pool unavailable. The new managers were very accommodating by offering free kayak rentals. Really friendly and nice people. Nice facility. The water was beautiful. It is VERY remote. You will have to pack every possible thing you need. There are no close grocery stores.

Really,Really Nice! Nice furniture, nice darker pine trim, state of art kitchen, double oven gas range. Several fire pits and wood for campfire. Very comfortable beds. This resort is for chilling and unwinding. No cheesy tourists Ala Gatlinburg. Wide-screen, Sonos blue tooth. All doorways in unit. wheelchair accessible. This is a huge gated resort, with lots of walking trails, pool, athletic fields, fishing, basketball, croquet. Very Unique!! <br/>You will need Verizon cell service ice with a booster, if you want to reach outside world. Cable and WI-fi in unit. Be sure and bring groceries with you. Only small general store nearby.

What a beautiful condo. I had been overworking for months and my husbands parents were in the midst of a family turmoil. A weekend at Trout Hill Condos was just what we needed. With all the luxury of a fine hotel and quiet seclusion, all we did was sit back, relax, read and eat.
I would definitely recommend Trout Hill Condos.

This was our first visit here and will not be our last. The Unit we stayed in was very beautiful and very cozy. The amenities was amazing and everyone we met made you feel like you had known them forever. The food at the General Store on site was some of the best ever and the prices were great. I would defiantly recommend a stay here. We have already told everyone who know since coming home!
